How to Help
All donations made through either paypal or made directly to SunTrust Bank are deposited in a trust account for Gabrielle’s medical expenses.
Remember, our primary goal is to raise awareness about this disease, Niemann-Pick Type C to help families whose children have not yet diagnosed, learn more about this disease. By holding a fund raising event on our behalf, you are not only helping Gabrielle, you are creating an increased awareness about this disease, however, the most important thing you can do for us is spread the word. Talk to others, and share Gabrielle’s story with them. Forward her website to your friends and family, and share her progress by forwarding videos to others. Creating awareness and soliciting prayers is paramount to our cause. If you’re still not sure how you can help, please watch the video below, “And a Child Shall Lead Them.”
Business Services: Therefore, we are always looking for companies that can donate printing, business cards, t-shirts, or lend a hand during special events, like our Savin’ Gabi Concerts. If your company provides a specialized service, like catering, signs, or if your company provides equipment for events like concerts, we need your help.

Donating to Gabi’s Trust Account: If you own a restaurant, club, or if your school would like to help, create your own fund-raising event. Restaurants in our community have held a Gabrielle night where all proceeds of the evening were donated to Gabrielle. High School groups have held car washes. If you’re a Biker, why not Bike for Gabi? You may want to present your donations at an upcoming event for Gabrielle, so please notify us!

Who is Gabrielle LaVerde?
Gabrielle LaVerde is a delightful and adored 7 year old little girl who has been diagnosed with a fatal and rare disease, called Niemann-Pick Type C. The disease is considered an orphan disease since there have only been 500 known cases worldwide. The disease itself renders its victims with Alzheimer’s-like symptoms—victims move backward in time and forget how to perform basic functions, such as talking, walking, eating, chewing, swallowing, and breathing.
We first learned of Gabrielle’s diagnosis in October, 2007. Gabrielle’s elementary school classmates were horrified to learn that her disease was fatal, and that there was no cure, no miracle drug, or no surgery that could save her. Her classmates quickly rallied support, not only from their parents, but from the entire Deltona community to help pay for experimental treatments. The outpouring amount of encouragement, support, and prayers that the LaVerde family has received has been phenomenal. The elementary school students raised over $10,800 in less than 3 months.
The purpose of this website is to:
