Text Box: HOPE

Hope comes in many colors, many reasons
It can come as a tiny spark of light in darkness
It can come softly as the falling rain
It can come when we are not even aware

Hope is a necessity of life for each of us
It is what we hold onto when the rope breaks
It is the cry of a sick child on a dark night It
is a mothers prayer for her family

Hope can be fragile or strong and unmoving
It can be as a raging stream or a gentle lake
It can float on the delicate wings of a butterfly
It can lodge within a heart and warm the soul

Hope, it is what keeps us going, keeps us believing
Life would not be bearable without it
It is the look of trust in a child’s eyes
Hope,
is the heart of us all.

For Gabrielle, keeping hope alive.

Text Box: Danielle’s sister presented her with a Mother’s Day Card.
Danielle would like to share that card with you. It reads:

My Special Child

Before you were BORN, I prayed for you.
In my HEART I knew that you would be a little ANGEL.
And you were!
You were a beautiful BUNDLE of big eyes and soft rosy cheeks.
A JOY beyond measure … and you showed me God’s LOVE.

I LOVED you when you were brand new and CUDDLY
and all was wonderful.
And I also loved you when we came to the realization
something was different
and when we DISCOVERED how serious this was.
I loved YOU through our heartbreaks and I loved you
when I thought GOD had abandoned us.

I loved you and HELD you because God knew I would …
He knew you would need someone with a heart full of LOVE.
A heart that breaks when I see you STRUGGLE
knowing your struggle is bigger than most.
I know you love me … I FEEL it … I see it.

Before you were BORN I loved you …
before you were born I prayed for you
and today I’ll pray for you and love you with all my HEART.
Thank you God for sharing this special child with me.
Thank you for this SPECIAL little ANGEL
who is my joy and inspiration.

A Prayer For Gabrielle

Oh Angels of the Lord
Watch over this child to night
Keep her safe from harm
Till the World puts this to right
Gabrielle's story, a thousand hearts touched
Angels whisper to her, the World cares so much
Bring beauty to her dreams
Your hands on her silken hair
Let her wake tomorrow
People are rushing there
Softly, gently let her lay
Wings of Angels stay
Teach us through this child’s eyes
To bring the promised way
Amen

With all our Love to you

What do we Need?

The kids at DLE have shown us that a Big Give needs to be creative!  Some have donated their frequent flyer miles, hotel  points, you name it!  Anything to help Gabrielle get the treatment she needs.

We are hoping that we can find a Printing company to help us print flyers, a T-shirt company to make t-shirts for our supporters and volunteers to help spread the world, and a company that will make simple bumper stickers for our community.

We also need more photos or video of the fund raising evening so we can include them in videos and on this webpage of that spectacular evening!  Please email GiseleVeilleux@earthlink.net if you have any photos you’d like to share.
